This has ruined my evening.Project Home is on Github, downloads pages are on Sourceforge and Github, md5-sha, Discussion Group Recent Releases Trying to run any python script in vs code gives this error: In VS Code, it is in the interpreter's list but still will not work even after selecting it. I made the mistake of messing around with some environment variables when trying to "fix" this and maybe that is what caused it? I have installed and uninstalled python from the windows store so many times and nothing works. Typing "python" in PowerShell or trying to use it in vs code gives me python : The term 'python' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable program I've been stuck on this for 2 hours! I'm in windows 11. Now I cannot get Python 3.8 to work no matter what I do. I did everything I could think of to fix it but in the end I thought uninstalling and re-installing python from the windows store would do the trick. I had a (semi) working python environment but I could not use external packages from within my venv. EDIT: if I install python 3.8 from instead of the windows store, I can get it to work.
